Not, the only possibilities are DivX, XVid, FFmpeg and not compressed.
Have you tried the FFMpeg - Mpeg1Video codec??

With the last version of Xawdecode[xdTv], you can send the video to a pipe file... it make you able to use Mplayer to encode your file:
Code:
mkfifo fifo.avi
xawdecode -rec_width 640 -rec_height 288 -rec_vcodec uncompressed\
   -rec_chg on -rec_mp3 off -e "volume mute; record" \
   -rec_display off -rec_filename fifo.avi &
mplayer -cache 65536  -ni -mc 0 -aspect 4:3  -vop denoise3d=4:40:3 fifo.avi

I use the xawdecode plugin, and i need to use this option. Your solution is good, but i can't select the decode option. Do you know if in future version of xawdecode can capture in mjpeg?

Sorry for my english.

Thanks a lot.

6 month ago, I made a test with xawdecode and mjpeg from ffmpeg and it use the more cpu than MPEG1 and a bit less than divx, that why i don't patch it (and also because it need lot of define because only last ffmpeg version support it)...

But if you are interested i can do a new one...
